About the site:

Welcome to Wecanworktogether. If you stumbled upon this website through Google or any other search engine you might wonder what this site is all about. This site was mainly conceived due to my need as a graphic designer to have an online digital portfolio of my design work. At the moment this is the main focus of this site.

I would like to do more with this site in the near future, but unfortunately my portfolio section is only 30% done at the moment. I have future plans for adding a blog which will feature design related discoveries, topics and discussions. Anything i find interesting and inspirational.

Due to my current full-time job this site growing at a slow pace, but check back weekly, since i aim at regular weekly updates.

About me:

I'm currently working fulltime as a Senior Designer in London at an internet technology company called Narrowstep. Narrowstep is an IPTV (TV over the internet) company (think Youtube, Brightcove, Joost or the BBC Iplayer) focused on the delivery of video content over the internet (www.narrowstep.com) utilizing a Content Management System called telvOS. In short the company is shaping the way video is delivered over the internet and how people can interact and engage with it.

Narrowstep also used to have a TV production arm called NRWS productions, which produced a few shows for terrestial tv, corporate clients as well as online delivery. I was involved in various motion graphics and production projects.

I've been working in the IPTV industry for 4 years now and have gained valuable experience in the tv production side as well as on the front-end development of web user interfaces for the delivery of video content over the internet.

At Narrowstep I've also been involved in various other design related areas ranging from corporate identity development, marketing and advertising, video editing, dvd production, broadcast graphics as well as 2D and 3D animation.

I have been involved in the design industry for nearly 9 years now and attained a degree in Information design in 2000.

Recently I've done training in XHTML, CSS and search engine optimization. I'm currently learning Maya fundamentals and am hoping to migrate my 3d Studio Max skills to Maya.

So where is all the flash?

After reading "Designing with web standards" by Jeffery Zeldman, I realized that web standards are definitely the way to go with my portfolio site. I decided to build the site mainly in XHTML and CSS. I'm hoping to add some flash elements over time.
